Heixan is a cinematographer and camera operator based in San Juan, Puerto Rico (don’t let that discourage you, he travels)
His twenty years of experience began as a stage hand through all mayor theaters in Puerto Rico while studying filmmaking and cinematography. In 2005 moved to New York and got his cinematography certificates at NYU and worked as an AC in the local film industry and shot a few of his first indie features.
In 2012 returned to Puerto Rico where his career took off as a cinematographer and director in the filmmaking and advertising industries of the island. Soon after, joined the I.A.T.S.E. Local 600 guild and have also worked in several productions from other markets and regions.
Today, with some awards and nominations including EMMYs for best cinematography, (show off) continues to strive for excellence and further developing the skills and expertise your project requires.
